Assistant Store Manager needed in softlines division for retail operation in San Francisco, CA.


Job Responsibilities:
Develop, communicate and implement plans to maximize sales to meet or exceed goals.
Control shrink, expenses, and payroll while ensuring sales floor is adequately stocked, signed, and merchandise is displayed to brand presentation.
Work collectively with the Store Operations Department and Visual Merchandising Director in implementing floor moves, merchandising and display maintenance.
Oversee and direct performance of staff and foster an honest and open team environment.
Actively recruit for all positions within the store.
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
Act as the in-store liaison with vendors and joint company programs.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in management
4 year college degree or University certificate preferred
Working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, Internet and order processing systems.
Knowledge base of processing information and merchandise via a computer and POS register system.
Experience with reading, writing, analyzing and interpreting business reports and procedures
Possess skills to calculate figures (i.e. discounts, interest, commissions and percentages).
